Just over a week to go to GNCCF

Ros is currently preparing for GNCCF in Manchester.  This will be the second year Ros will show after first exhibiting in 2010.  Ros will be exhibiting as part of Hothouse Alumni Section.

'Now in its 5th Year the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair at Spinningfields is recognised as one of the leading retail events for contemporary craft in the UK, attracting over 6000 visitors with collective exhibitor sales of over £200K.    The GNCCF showcases cutting edge contemporary craft to buy from over 150 selected designer-makers in ceramics, glass, jewellery, interior and fashion textiles, wood, paper, silver, metal, product design, print-making and more. Visitors can spend the day in a relaxed yet stimulating atmosphere, chat to the makers about their work and buy or commission pieces directly from them.'

Ros is looking forward to showcasing all her collections from Thursday 4th October in which the Private View will open and then continue to be open to the public for the rest of the weekend until 7th October.  

The Balvenie Masters of Craft

I am excited to announce that I made it as a finalist in the Balvenie Masters of Craft Awards. I entered the awards under the 'Young Master of Crafts category' regarding the technique of cuttlebone casting which I use in both the design process and for the making of one - off pieces within my collections. The awards ceremony took place last night on Wednesday 1st June at Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. The expert panel of judges includes TV presenter and author, Kevin McCloud, Chairman of the Heritage Crafts Association, Robin Wood, expert crafts photographer, Nick Hand, Editor of The Sunday Telegraph Life, Anne Cuthbertson and the whisky industry's longest standing Malt Master, David Stewart.

Hothouse Exhibition at Pitzhanger Gallery & House
